356 Carrera gets a Modesta Ceramic Coating Applied by MQ1D
This amazing old friend of a Porsche 356 Carrera 2, right hand drive, returned to our detailing studio for some Modesta UK Ceramic Coating.
We had the privilege to previously work on this 356 back in 2018, when we prepared this particular car for the prestigious Salon Prive’ Concours for our partners Export 56 as a “Show Car”
This particular Porsche 356, which is one of the best builds that we have come across to date, and was a delight to work on, the end result speaks for itself.

We paid particular attention to ensuring that we sympathetically respected, not only the car as a whole but, also what this type of car represents. On this visit this beauty had an extensive detail including the Modesta UK ‘private label’ flag ship coating
Of all the 356’s we’ve undertaken this one is still our number one, however, before we could start work on bring paint work of this Porsche back to its former pristine best, we had to carry out our standard pre detailing inspection and preparation.
As part of the pre detailing inspection and preparation, a full decontamination process was carried out, which included the following, we carried out the following: – Washing, Hand washing, Drying, in depth decontamination, first Inspection
Then before we could start the next process, we carried out a full car paint depth readings, pad and polish choice.
Many hours were spent polishing the super soft single coating paint work, this was followed by a post polishing inspection before the application of the “P01A” primer, Modesta private label.
The glass coating was then short-wave heat cured to its required temperature and time frame; the paint work then had “Modesta M1” shot to finish.
This Porsche 356 Carrera 2 also received a full engine bay detail, wheels removed cleaned and sealed, rubber deep cleaned and dyed black, all chromes, glass interior paint areas polished to match.
All leathers were then deep cleaned and treated with Swiss Vax UK wood wax for the outstanding bespoke steering wheel.
