Marque One Detailing Interior Restoration of a Porsche C4S Cabriolet
This Porsche C4S Cabriolet had not been touched for 8 years and with the roof failing in the winter without the client knowing, it had filled up with dirty water, as a result required one of our interior and paint work restoration packages.
Work That was carried out
The list of work which was carried out is a long, particularly as there was so much that needed to be carried out as a result of the water damage that had been sustained within the interior.
Together with the condition of the paint work that had not been touched for over 8 years had to be addressed.
The work carried out is as follows.
Roof
Fully deep cleaned vacuumed dried then left for 6 hours with the heating on.
Fully re-dyed black (X2 coats)
Again left to dry, then fully fabric sealed for protection (X2 Coats)
Interior Restoration
leather was removed where possible fully deep cleaned using everything in our arsenal.
Fabrics – fully cleaned and wet vacuumed and scrubbed to remove the standing water and dirt.
The leather was then sanded in areas and recoloured with Colour Lock products.
Rear seat had failed leaving a hole, the rotten leather was removed exposing a bigger hole, this then had a gauze glued underneath linking the seam to the seat.
Filler was then added and sanded back numerous times, this was allowed to harden.
A primer was then added followed by the paint and top coat (x2 coats).
The primer, colour and top coat was added to the entire seat for a fresh look.
Drivers seat bolster:- As all cars this is the prime area for wear and tear as it has the most traffic in and out.
A lot of discolouring had occurred as well as sink age and stretch lines.
This was fully cleaned sanded, filled, primed and top coat added. This was blended in with the seat to match.
Every part of this interior has been recoloured somewhere. small holes were touched in as well as discolouration on the vents.
After 3 days and 13 bucket of dirty water the interior then had a full protection package added using Colour Lock products.
The fabric were treated to G-Techniq fabric seal like the roof.
