The Salon Prive Runner up in its Class - 2021

This amazing Aston Martin DB5 joins the list of DB5’s we have prepared for Aston Martin Owners Club Concours, as well as the world-renowned Salon Prive and Hampton Court Concourse.

We at Marque One Detailing had the honour and privilege to work on the amazing Aston Martin which came into our detailing studio at Northfield in Milton Keynes.

Which took the “Frist Place ” slot at the Aston Martin Owners Club 2021 Concours, as well as taking the “Runners Up” place at the 2021 Salon Prive for both Richards of England and Marque One Detailing.

This particular Aston Maring DB5 had been fully restored by Richards of England, who striped this beauty right back and rebuilt it from the chase up.

We at Marque One detailing are honoured and proud of the work we continue to do for Richards of England, and that they intrust us with putting the finishing touches to their restoration and special projects, 

However, before we could start working on this DB5, we had to carry out our standard pre detailing inspection and preparation.

Which included a full decontamination, including the following, before we could start on the paint correction process.

Washing

Hand washing, Drying, In depth decontamination,

Inspection

Paint depth readings, Pad and polish choice,

Post polishing inspection.

Sealants. Waxes,

When the above was completed, we were able to then start the process of restoring and rejuvenating the paintwork of a vehicle as part of a “Paint Correction” process.

This process is mostly through the elimination of surface imperfections, that dull, oxidize, or haze the surface by reflecting light off in various directions, therefore detracting from a true and proper, clean, sharp, reflection

This turned out to be a three-stage polish, using Modesta UK coatings.

5 days spent cleaning, polishing every area we could, the car was then topped off with some Modesta UK products for gloss and protection.

Every aspect of this amazing car was undertaken, which resulted in this amazing DB5 claiming “Runner Up” in the 2021 Salon Prive and claiming First place at the 2021 Aston Martin Owners Club Concours

As you might expect when undertaking these types of projects, the list was going to be a long one.

All wheels were deep cleaned and coated, as well as the callipers and inner arches, we also undertook a full interior deep clean, with all areas sealed.

The engine bay also received the full treatment, which included a full deep clean and dressing.
